The success story of Bresser
Telescopes, microscopes & magnifying glasses, binoculars, night vision, spotting scopes, weather stations and brand new photo studio equipment. More than ever, BRESSER stands for the wide world of optics. The BRESSER range, already known throughout Europe for its diversity and very good price-performance ratio, has been completely modernised and restructured. The extensive range is thus divided into a series that stands for different qualities, looks and designs. This clear structure makes the selection considerably easier for the consumer.
Bresser has been a success story for more than 60 years. With approximately seventy-five employees currently employed by Bresser, the company has built up a worldwide distribution network that is unique in this segment. We invest in research and cooperation: among others with the DLR (German Aerospace Center), the Ministry of Education and Science, Institute for the Environment, Jewish National Fund JNF-KKL, young people and various universities and observatories.
Bresser has a wide range of binoculars in stock for a wide range of applications. We have the largest range of high quality binoculars for a very wide target group worldwide. Bresser is the German optical specialist and stands for innovative binoculars in high quality combined with low prices. In addition to the classic binoculars, Bresser also offers digital binoculars, for example with special technology for accurate navigation at sea. Bresser binoculars are also commonplace in the world of hunting. With a new multi-layer coating we have succeeded in minimising disturbing reflections on all glass components. In combination with high light transmission, this coating guarantees colour-neutral and contrast-rich image processing. Bresser binoculars are the ideal companion for the demanding hunter.
Leading the way
The company was founded in 1957 by Josef Bresser. Josef Bresser was one of the first importers of quality binoculars from the Far East. After his sudden death his son Rolf took over the company. Under his leadership, the Bresser brand became an international company and a leading brand in the optical industry. To continue to play a leading role in the market Rolf Bresser sold the company to the American market leader for amateur telescopes MEADE Instruments Corp., USA. In 2004, the first computer-controlled MEADE telescopes and Schmidt-Cassegrain optics were offered for the first time. The company is now based in Rhede and supplies microscopes, binoculars, night vision and digital weather stations. In 2012 Bresser entered into a licensing agreement with National Geographic for optical and outdoor products!
